SOSA Dance Fitness U16 classes take the best bits from the original SOSA Dance Fitness workout, with a more up-to-date soundtrack including the very latest chart hits.
Our routines are low impact so therefore suitable for all abilities.
We are passionate about inspiring children and teenagers to get up dancing and enjoy leading a healthy active lifestyle.
As a qualified SOSA Dance Fitness instructor you receive FREE ACCESS to our brand new Under-16s programme content (subject to meeting our pre-requisite requirements).
To be eligible to teach our SOSA Dance Fitness Under-16s programme you will need at least ONE of the below qualifications:
- Level 2 Exercise & Physical Activity for Children
- A Dance Teaching qualification from a Recognised Awarding Organisation
- PE Teacher/School Teacher
You must also have a valid DBS Check (we can apply for one on your behalf if you do not currently have one at a cost of £56 – valid for 3 years), and you must also have completed a Safeguarding course.
There is no separate training course to qualify you to teach this programme.
As long as you meet our pre-requisite requirements, we will automatically give you full unlimited access to our Under-16s programme content, once you are a qualified SOSA Dance Fitness instructor.
You will have full access to:
- New choreography – 2 new routines per month
- Downloadable marketing materials including social media graphics
- Ongoing access to the SOSA Dance Fitness Under-16s Instructor Academy area of our website
- Ongoing rights to use the SOSA Dance Fitness Under-16s brand name
- One-to-one mentoring and support from a member of our Under-16’s training team
If you teach both SOSA Under-16s programme and our main SOSA Dance Fitness adult programme, you will still only pay one annual membership fee of £120 per year (or £10 per month), which will give you full access to our online content for both programmes.
Active IQ and CIMSPA
We are endorsed by Active IQ and CIMSPA, and can award 10 CIMSPA CPD points and 4 REPS CPD points for our Instructor Training courses.
We are a Recognised School of the Council for Dance Education & Training, and a Corporate member of One Dance UK working to improve the conditions in which dance is created, performed and experienced.
EMD Open Bursary
We are affiliated with Exercise Movement and Dance Partnership (EMD UK), who are the Lead National Governing Body for Exercise, Movement and Dance in the UK. All Exercise to Music Level 2 instructors can apply for an Open Bursary to receive up to 50% refund on the cost of our training course!
